Frequently asked questions
Which Power BI licences do we need?
It depends on how many people create versus view reports, and on features such as paginated reports or large models. We recommend the most cost-effective mix of Pro, Premium Per User and Fabric capacity for your organisation.
Can you work with the reports we already have?
Yes. Most engagements start from existing reports: we keep what works, consolidate duplicates onto a shared model, and fix or retire the rest.
Does our data need to be clean before we start?
No. We start with the data you have, fix the issues that block the first reports and add quality checks so it gets cleaner over time. Where deeper work is needed, our data engineering and governance teams take it from there.
Our reports are slow. Can you fix them?
Usually, yes. Slowness is most often caused by model design, DAX patterns or refresh strategy rather than hardware. A health check pinpoints the cause before any rework.
Will our team be able to maintain the reports?
That's the goal. We document every model and measure, and train both report authors and business users, so you're not dependent on us.
Can executives use dashboards on their phones and in Teams?
Yes. We design mobile layouts and publish reports to Teams and the Power BI apps, with the same security rules applied everywhere.
